Event Details

Family Winemakers of California will hold its 22nd annual wine tasting on Sunday, Sept. 9 (open to consumers and trade) and Monday, Sept. 10 (trade only).  (New dates mandated by America's Cup taking over the waterfront in August).  We need lots of volunteers!  You get to attend the tasting for free on both days AND you get a fancy T-shirt!

  • These are time ranges, NOT exact shift times; your assigned shift will not exceed 3-1/4 hours and you will be able to attend the tasting both on the day you're working and the day you're not. 
  • One form per person.
  • Select as many shifts as possible; we’ll do our best to accommodate you but reserve the right to put you where we need you.
  • When the needed capacity of a shift has been filled, the form will display Sold Out.  If you would like to be wait listed for a shift, please tell us in the Comment box on the registration page.

  • You are not confirmed for a volunteer shift until you have been assigned one via email correspondence from us.

Family Winemakers of California


Small, family-owned wine producers across the state are the foundation of Family Winemakers of California.  Formed in 1991 to lobby for the rights of its members to freely produce, market and sell their products, we currently represent over 500 producers.  FWC hosts these tastings because they provide a cost-effective marketing approach for small, family-owned wineries, which allows them to share what the vines produce and they craft so you can enjoy it on your table.

 

Wineries pour at our San Diego, Pasadena and San Francisco tastings.  The wineries remain dedicated to producing the finest wines they can from what vineyards across the state offer.  You'll taste the passion for combining the right soil, the right grape, and the right microclimate into every bottle. 

 

Our legislative and regulatory work augment these trade and consumer tastings to help our members succeed in a highly competitive marketplace.  This will be our 23rd year hosting the San Francisco Tasting.
